Our first-ever ANZAAN Conference was a huge success, bringing together alumni association leaders, committee members, school representatives and community engagement professionals.
The 2026 ANZAAN Conference
The inaugural ANZAAN Conference was held at St Peter’s School, Cambridge on 5 June 2026, bringing together alumni association leaders, committee members, school representatives, advancement professionals and community engagement specialists from across New Zealand and Australia.
Created specifically for those involved in alumni and community associations, the conference focused on one simple objective:
To share practical ideas, experience and best practice that can help build stronger, more effective alumni associations.

Practical Experience
The first ANZAAN Conference brought together a community of people facing many of the same opportunities and challenges.
Across a full day of presentations, case studies, discussion and networking, delegates explored some of the most important issues facing alumni associations today.
The emphasis throughout the day was on practical experience rather than theory – giving delegates ideas, examples and approaches they could take back and use within their own associations.

The conference wasn't only about what happened on stage.
A major part of the inaugural event was creating opportunities for alumni leaders to meet each other, exchange ideas and build relationships.
This began with our Pre-Conference Networking Dinner on 4 June held at The Clements Hotel, and continued throughout the conference day.
Bringing together committee members, Presidents and Chairs, trustees, advancement teams, school leaders, foundations, alumni groups and community engagement professionals created exactly the type of cross-sector conversation ANZAAN was established to encourage.

The success of our inaugural conference demonstrated the value of bringing the alumni community together.
So we're doing it again.
The ANZAAN Conference will return in 2027, with another programme designed to help alumni associations connect, learn, share ideas and build stronger organisations.
